We’re supporting UK Savings Week this week. Saving is one of the best ways to build a secure financial future - and it can help keep you safe from loan sharks.We work with credit unions across England to encourage people to start a savings habit. Thanks to money seized from convicted loan sharks, we’re able to fund special incentive schemes that reward new savers with a bonus when they open an account and save regularly.And here's the impact:✅ On average, members saved £123.36 in just three months.✅ Fewer than 1% withdrew their savings after receiving the bonus.✅ 22% went on to take out safe credit union loans - and 95% are repaying successfully.But the challenge remains.
