Illegal money lending doesn’t pay - that’s the message being sent loud and clear from the courts this week as two loan sharks were ordered to pay £1.2 million.This is the largest Proceed of Crime confiscation amount for an England Illegal Money Lending Team case in 14 years.The illegal lenders in this case - two women, aged 67 and 71 - issued loans of around £4.2 million and benefited to the tune of £1.2 million. Sid the Shark enjoyed a day out at the Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre in Leicester this week for a cost of living event run by @stwater. There were lots of people there and it was great to talk to them about the dangers of loan sharks!
