Illegal money lending doesn’t pay - that’s the message being sent loud and clear from the courts this week as two loan sharks were ordered to pay £1.2 million.This is the largest Proceed of Crime confiscation amount for an England Illegal Money Lending Team case in 14 years.The illegal lenders in this case - two women, aged 67 and 71 - issued loans of around £4.2 million and benefited to the tune of £1.2 million. Two people have been arrested in Salford today following an operation by the England Illegal Money Lending Team in partnership with @SalfordCouncil Trading Standards and @gmpolice.
