A 61-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of illegal money lending offences following an operation in North Hertfordshire.
The England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT) worked in partnership with officers from Hertfordshire Police to execute a warrant at an address in the Baldock area on Tuesday, October 31.
Officers seized documentation and electronic devices. The suspect was taken into custody and has been released pending further inquiries.
The IMLT works in partnership with Hertfordshire Trading Standards Service to investigate and prosecute illegal money lenders.
Tony Quigley, head of the Illegal Money Lending Team, said: “Illegal money lending will not be tolerated, and we work with our partners across England to investigate reports and support victims.
