📣 We’re getting ready for Stop Loan Sharks Week 2025 – happening from 19th to 25th May – and we’d love your support in helping us tackle illegal money lending across England. 🛑🦈This year’s theme is: "We’re here whenever you’re ready." We know it can be really tough for someone to reach out. Many people feel scared, trapped, or even blame themselves after borrowing from a loan shark. 🚨 A 38-year-old man was arrested in Birmingham this morning on suspicion of illegal money lending.The arrest was part of an early morning operation led by the England Illegal Money Lending Team, in partnership with West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council Trading Standards.We’re working with partners across the country to crack down on loan sharks and protect communities.
